This past weekend was without a doubt some of the toughest fishing I have experienced. Thursday was a tough day only having a handful of keepers and we were even wading. Friday was even worse with the Super Moon conditions, fishing tournament boat traffic, and more winds than normal made it a real grind for a TBHer and his family. I take a bad day of fishing very personal and I did everything in my power and up my sleeve to put fish in the box. Unfortunately it just did not happen. I am not above posting a report about having a tough trip because I am only human and can not control the factors. This particular TBHer understood the cards we had been dealt and was very gracious with me even though the day was unsuccessful. For that I am very grateful. Thank you Leif for your understanding. Saturday I hosted another TBHer and his son for a wading trip. It was by no means an easy day. We grinded hard and our normal 8 hour full day trip took 9 1/2 hours but ended with a two limits of trout and two reds. Sunday I hosted a Houston group for a little jetty fishing and the bull reds decided to come out and play for a decent half day morning trip. Monday I had the pleasure of taking out a TBHer and his fiancé and buddy. We again grinded much longer than normal and ended the day with a two man limit of trout and 3 reds.
This past week proved to put my knowledge and patiences to the test with the conditions that were at hand. I want to thank all of my customers for sticking with me and grinding it out.
