the LAS fluer de lis design appeals to hunters (duck and deer) and fishermen.

Just b/c someone has TX tags, doesn't mean they're a born and raised Texan. That would be stereotyping . The person of interest could have grown up in Houma, graduated from LSU, hired by Baker Hughes as a Petroleum Engineer, and now they live in The Woodlands.

Or, possibly this person has Cajun roots and their last name is Boudreaux, Doucet, Landry, Melancon, Latilolais, etc ... and the fluer de lis appeals to their anscestry and love for the outdoors

Or, maybe they subcribe to LAS magazine and recieved a free fluer de lis sticker with their membership .

Or possibly, this person lived his/her whole life in Chalmette, LA. (St Bernard Parish) and was a Katrina "refugee" , who was exiled to Channelview, TX and moved in with his cousins. They are unable to return home because Murphy Oil bought the land he and his parents grew up on and his welding company went of business post hurricane. They miss home and the FDL sticker reminds them of where he/she grew up.

As you can see, lots of possibilities why someone with Tx tags would be pimping the fluer de lis sticker

Additionally, the FDL design is actually lily petals (fluer = flower) and represents medieval social classes: those who worked, those who fought, and those who prayed.

numerous cities, States, countries, and organizations use the fluer de lis symbol, not just Louisiana. i.e. the Boy Scouts of America flag

    Peace out ⚜

I have had that sticker on my Tundra for about 4 years.........and have had Texas plates for longer! Our experience living in SE Texas has really been one big homecoming over the years as their are SO MANY PEOPLE with Louisiana roots it is crazy at times. We grew up with the fleur dis lis on everything and the Sportsmans Paradise angle is just a BONUS!!!

What amazes me is that Louisiana doesn't get more recognition for this. I've been fortunate enough to deer and duck hunt around Tallulah and Delhi, duck hunted many times around Gueydan, and fished out of Empire and Port Fourchon, and they were all incredible trips. The people of the Basin are the most independent folks I've ever met.

Anybody that has ventured into the water or woods of the Bayou State get that loud & clear. Bag limits are generous and the windows to get out there and chase critters is long!!!

Growing up in SE Texas there are more cajun people there than there are in Baton Rouge. Lots of Lsu fans from the Beaumont area and lots of outdoorsman. My dad and his whole family was born in Amelia La. and are true Cajun folks. I just happened to be the person born in Texas. It also helps that academy sells them also. I also view it as a SE coastal thing cause you see them in Mississippi also.
