    Ag Exemption Question

I have a small property of about 15 acres that I keep a couple of cows and goats on. I meet all the qualifications to claim an Ag exemption except one. When we purchased the property we split it into two sections (on paper only), so that we could get better interest rate. We pay separate tax bill on each, but one section is 9.9 acres and the other is about 5 acres. Minimum size requirement for ag exemption is 10 acres. My question is how can I attach them and consolidate it back into one so that I can claim the exemption? Can I pay off one of the mortgages and then attach it to the one I am still paying on, thus changing the property back to the original 15 acres on the tax records? Any help from the GS is greatly appreciated.

Best bet is to contact your county appraisal district/ property tax office.

I cut 3ac off of the 4 that my house was on so I could add it to the other that was already ag value, but mine was paid for
