I lacquer my shafts still before fletching. Usually just one color now, white. But have done them in three colors: blood red fade to Flo Red fade to white. The Flo makes finding them easy in the dark with a blue or purple LED. I just don't stripe-em anymore.

Most shafts I do with spray paint. Then a put them on the machine I made from a sewing machine motor. Testors model paint for striping.
