How do I get the wife....

More interested in hunting fishing and shooting? Im all ate up with it and it causes fights during the seasons because I want to go hunt!!! She enjoys being out at the ranch, she shoots a deer every year... she likes it.. but in slim moderations... she is not for sittin in the blind everyday like I would be... she is interested in getting a bow to shoot.... but if she had the choice shed go shopping over hunting.... she says its cuz I get obsessed with it and she feels like I put her on the back burner... I mean ya I get that.. but im not going to only hunt a few days a year... I gotta get in every min I can every year!! What yall reccommend?

Im gonna try to have more fun things to do at the ranch during down time... keep her more occupied...

when I got with my wife, I took her fishing....she caught two of the biggest hybrid stripers I've ever seen.....she didnt get excited.

took her spotlighting...cared nothing about it.

Took her deer hunting, actually killed a deer....didn't care.

Took her dove hunting, she killed like 4 birds.....didn't care.

some women just don't like to hunt. Nothing wrong with that. first year we were together It caused problems but now I go when I want for as long as I want.

My wife only goes to the lease in moderation, but after almost ten years of being married that's ok it gives us a little solo time. Now if I'm going on a weekend hunt with a place that has nice accommodations she's always ready for that. Never had a problem with fishing she's always up for that.

My wife plans her shopping trip with the "girls" while I am off hunting. Works out great for the both of us. I can almost feel her foot nudging me out the door to go hunting so she can go shopping......

            Have a kid!!!
Then, when he or she gets old enough, I promise, she'll tell you to take the child with you and tell you to stay as long as you want!!!

Don't do this, or you'll end up buying a place up there like my dad did. So now while he's building their cabin, which costs $$$, my mom's in town spending more $$$.

                  That's what happened to me
Before we had a kiddo, she hated that I hunted.
Then she couldn't stand me leaving her with the kid to go when my daughter was to young to go with me.
And now, when I take my daughter, she's like, "Y'all have fun!"

Man, I'd consider myself lucky if I were you. Mine doesn't want anything to do with being outside unless it's an open air outlet mall. Even then she'll complain about the heat!

Good luck. Let me know if you found a way to get her to do it. Mine won't even go!

Only advice I can lend is make it ALL about her. Which translates you don't hunt, fish, do anything basically.

Be her guide and treat her like the best client you will ever have!

If that doesn't work it probably won't be something she gets into like that.

Disclaimer: don't look for it to change over night

                        Sierracharlie out....

He is correct, this is why I haven't gone deer hunting with my husband yet!! It's a needed break and now our youngest is finally old enough to go with him so I might join him this year at least a couple times. Try bowfishing, My husband introduced me to bowfishing a couple years ago and now I can't get enough of it, I have even found myself getting upset when he goes without me.

I signed my Honey up for an all women doe hunt and she freaked out. Kept saying she didn't want to go and was scared she was going to shoot a deer and only wound it and just worried about every little thing. But when she came back! She was eat up with hunting. Now she hunts more than I do and has friends from all over the state. She keeps a running tab at the taxidermist. I had to start reloading her ammo to help her save money so she can afford more hunts.

On the flip side, I have a friend that like you wants his wife to be more interested in hunting. Only when he brings it up it doesn't sound right. I don't think he means it like this but it sounds kind of like he is putting her down because she isn't more like my wife. Be careful that you don't do that to your wife.
