    Transmission Slipping

I have an '07.5 Chevy duramax with ~175,000 miles on it. Recently is feels like the transmission seems to slip or catch when downshifting between 3rd & 2nd. It doesn't happen all the time, only occassionally. I'm not much of a mech, so what advice can the green screen give?

Please don't turn this into a truck bashing thread, as this has been the best truck I've ever had- not one single problem until this... Thanks!

It could be an electrical part on the tranny. Get it checked.

The longer you wait the worse it will be....

If it does it on the downshift it is not a slip.
Sounds like it has some trash in the valve body.
How long since you serviced it? Not just the external filter either.

We dont see many problems from them at all. But I would change both filters. Whats the fluid look like. I assume you have checked the fluid level also?? We have had some problems from TCMs (transmission control module). But they usually have comunication problems and defualts to neutral. Any lights on?
