We bought some and played with it. It's not breathable and it does leave a film. Just FYI. It's also really cool to play with!

I dipped a shirt treated with it under water. Shirt came out completetly dry and my brain could not comprehend what I was touching/seeing and it through me into an epeleptic brain freeze. I now believe anything is possible..like space time travel.

Home Dept has it and I will be treating my new car seats with this stuff as well as my new dining chairs.

one of the reviews on the HD site said it cannot stand up to UV from sun. so that cuts potential uses WAY down....

We demo'd the industrial version at work, wildly expensive. It's really neat but wears quickly and must be reapplied. It cannot withstand abrasion or friction so it's a little too finicky for me but I think in a non industrial environment it could be pretty slick. I thought it would be funny to put it on a sponge and watch someone try and use it.
