EGR Delete/Oil Cooler Replacement/BlueSpring Mod/ Coolant filtration system

Man this project is a bear! Takin me a lot longer than I expected, but I expected it to take longer than I thought (make sense?) At this point I have pulled out my Alternator, Air Filter, Cold Air Charge Tube, Turbo, Turbo Pedestal, 2 Oil Return Lines, Fuel return line, Oil Filter and Fuel filter Housing, Degas Bottle, Upper Wire Loom, Upper Fan Shroud, Oil Drain Tube, Fuel Regulator Housing, and I'm sure some other things I can't think of off the top of my head. Tomorrow morning, the intake comes out, Oil Cooler Housing, and then the replacing and reassembling comes in to play! I hope it only takes me another hour and a half to two hours to pull the rest out, but you know how that works! Replacing stuff isn't hard, but I think putting everything back together will be another bear! I'm also replacing my radiator hoses, and a few other hoses because of them getting brittle. Can't wait to have her back up and running again monday afternoon after I get all the hoses from Ford! Wish me luck boys!

Good luck with it Big. I've been tempted to go down that road on my 6.0. I did the blue-spring, need to complete the banjo bolts. I haven't dove off into the EGR and oil coolers yet- I have a Scan Gauge and my split on the coolant and oil temps are within what I've seen as acceptable.

What coolant are you going to use? Replacing the Motorcraft Gold I assume.

The question was asked above about what coolant to use. My father in law did the cooler deletes on his 6.0 and was looking into alternative coolants due to preasure issues harming the 6.0. He found the Evans waterless coolant. It will not expand like normal coolant causing head and egr cooler preasure and overall coolant system preasure. I found out about it and have read alot about it and Im going to replace my coolant in my 6.4 with it this summer. I have done all the deletes on my truck already but I didnt know about the Evans coolant at the time. Im going to use it because I dont want to have to put another $600 radiator in my truck, and that was me installing it. It is endorced by Jay Leno and there is alot of info about it online. The down side is that it cost from $30-$35 a gallon. When the truck holds 6 or so gallons it gets a bit expensive, but I think it will be worth it. BTW Bigfoot, you will love your truck when you are done.

I'm not sure what I'm gonna replace it with. The ford gold has silicates that deposit up and cause clogged coolers and what not, so I've five done reading and CAT Ec-1 rated coolant looks like what I'll be using

Nice 16 hours of working on it today, took about 4 hours to get the up pipe off due to rusty frozen bolts. Had to let em sit and try and let em sit and try. It was a bear! All the upgrades are installed, got about 3 hours of putting stuff back together and then I will replace hoses tomorrow after the ford dealership opens! Wish me luck
