        with that budget.....

I would either do a Sonora Mule Deer hunt, which last time I checked ran about $6k

I would also pay for a landowner tag for a good shot at a bull elk during the rut

If I could get a sheep hunt for $7k I would do that in a heartbeat but I don't think you will get that done for $7k....maybe go on a aoudad hunt in west texas for Aoudad.

I personally wouldn't pay to shoot a whitetail, be it in texas, canadian, kansas or illiniois.

Another thing to consider would be going to argentina to shoot a red stag, or going to spain or the czech republic to hunt mouflon sheep

I can shoot just as big a deer in Dimmit, Maverick or La Salle as I can in Kansas.

Whitetail are just so common place its hard to justify spending beaucoup money to shoot one

                          a giant muley....

rocky mountain muley and elk combo maybe? probably not for 7k for true trophy size animals, but if you havent hunted muleys i would recommend it highly

                            what does that mean?

I sit in a blind overlooking an oat patch in south texas...I shoot a 160" whitetail

I sit in a treestand overlooking a bait pile in saskatchewan in 10 below and shoot a 160" whitetail....whats the difference?

For $7,000, you could go on a guided elk hunt. That's what I would do. But then again, I've never been on a bull elk hunt. It's on my bucket list!!
