Matt, we are in the same terrain as yall and I too recommend maybe not a drain, but for sure a bunch of gravel around the shed. Maybe put in a french drain as it gets bad muddy and nasty around the area after a few kills.

The walk in has a drain it drains into the septic. The skinning area does not have a drain. We just spray off the concrete and its been fine. The coons eat the scraps before they start to stink
