Go to Red River, NM. There is nothing relaxing about Texas heat. Red River will be in the high 30's in the AM and high 70's in the afternoon. NOTHING like sitting next to the Red River and watching the water flow by or sitting next to Goose Lake waiting on a fish to tug on your line.

Nothing like July in a jacket.

That or Estes Park, Co... There's the Rocky Mountain Nat'l. Park, Lake Estes, the Thompson river, Lake Grandby, Some great horseback riding out of Aspen lodge... no end to the things you can do

...that is unless you're boycotting Colorado for the stupid gun laws they recently passed... I am, but only for hunting

Go to broken bow (beavers bend) and rent a boat and cruise the lake.

All sounds good but I'm only off for 4 days so I'd like to keep it under 5 hours. My family is on vacation july25 but I was only able I get a 4 day pass. For that weekend guess I should have said that
