Honestly I thought Oshman's was the go to store back then. Cool find.

Down here in Texas, Oshman's was the place. Gander Mountain was strictly a mail order, at least in these parts. I do not believe they had any stores, but perhaps up north.

Herter's was another great mail order outfit from up north. They went out of business, and I think Cabella's ultimately bought their name.
