I can't wait for it!!! The only problem is I messed up my shoulder and am kind of waiting to see how significant of an injury it is. I'm trying to figure out the best way to go about fixing the problem without keeping me out of bow season!

My uncle has 300 acres in Wyoming and has been wanting me to come up there...may need to take a visit up north! Never hunted anywhere but Texas.

Can't wait and sure hope it's a better opener than last year! We hunt near Brady and we sat out in quad pods in the cold rain all last opening weekend. Of course all we saw were young buck and arrowed one or two does as a group. Still enjoyed the heck out of it!

I cant wait. I think for the first time I am going to ask my wife politely for money to get on a lease were deer roam ( an offer on the table). I hunt in north east texas. As you all have read this is difficult, east texas hunting, well for that fact asking for moeney to hunt is difficult too.

Very ready mentally but not sure if I will be physically. I had shoulder surgery in Feb knowing I would be ready in plenty of time for bow season. Things have taken a turn for the worse this last month and my doc is thinking the rotator cuff has failed. Another MRI Thursday to find out if Im in for another shoulder surgery. If so, I will miss bowhunting season. Will hold out hope for get to bow hunt at some point during the general season. I have a target buck in mind but not sure how I feel about shooting him with something other than my bow.

too hot too dry and its fishing season ! i will start to get excited come mid sept.
