Was wondering why she had been quiet for a week or so. Called her and found out her laptop screen went black. Anyone around Spicewood that knows a bit about computers that might be able to help, or has a super cheep unit they could buy?

My previous lap top was nothing special, and the last time I used it (about 1 1/2 yrs ago) it was working okay. She's welcome to it, if she needs one. I'd check it out, to make sure it's still working alright, before I sent it, though.

if it's just the screen, you can try running a cord to a tv or another monitor - might help to get by to get your data from the old one.
