The body looks like a junebug but it is huge. It is also lighter in color and has spots on it. The second pic you can compare the size to a junebug.

I don't think that's a June bug as it has spots and its shell appears glossier than a June bugs.. I bet the shell is harder also. I think there is an entomology website you can look at for Texas beetles.. not sure what it is..

I don't know what it is, but we have been invaded at the fire station with some kind of black beetle. They are everywhere. Last night, the walls under the lights outside were covered in them and there was probably 50 in the station.
