I've noticed used Glocks can sell for $20 less than new or slightly more than that, other brands seem to depreciate allot even if they have only been shot 20 rounds "Sig Saur", LCP seems to resale well, do used Glock buyers just want that gun because it's not in their name? Or is it like a used Honda vs new? I wanted a Glock 27 so I paid the extra $50 for new rather than buying used. I wouldn't want to find out a used gun may be wanted lol

Here's new price on a 27:
But then again, if you figure in sales tax and/or shipping it may be cheaper to buy "like new"
Then again, there are also price gougers who think we are all idiots and can't google search "retail price Glock 23".

I had the same question not too long ago: http://discussions.texasbowhunter.co...d.php?t=381257
Simple answer to why used glocks are pricey right now... I tend to agree with Bowtecmike:

Only the Glocks never got scarce, or went up like they thought, but they still want to make a little on their planned investment.
I don't buy the add-on thoughts... It's been known for years in the gun world to expect half to no return on any add-on that you put on a firearm.. The same still rings true.Last edited by Coach W; 06-14-2013, 05:53 PM.

supply and demand, but really depends on where you are getting your pricing.
Before the madness local gun shops varied on the same gun by as much as $130 between shops right down the street from each other.
Academy and Bass Proshops are generally high compared to gun show pricing which the high volume dealers are selling for $25-$40 markup to make the money in volume. Some of the gun show dealers double dip by removing extra mags from new guns say a G19 G4 comes with 3 from the factory, the dealer may remove one mag and sell it on the side and sell the pistol as new with only 2 mags
