    Speaking of strange eggs...

    I have a young Aracauna (Blue egg layer) pullet who is just starting to lay. Her first eggs have been very tiny. Most pullet eggs are small but these are even more so. The other day I went out and found this strange egg in her nest.



    Here are her first eggs alongside the wierd egg and a normal sized (not hers) eggs for reference. White egg is a Speckled Sussex and blue egg is an Araucana.



    And yes, it's an egg. I broke off a piece and yolk oozed out and it was hollow with the normal blue outer shell. Strange.
