    "No show" service guys (rant)

    Opportunity for TBH'ers !

    In the past 2 weeks..........a/c tech does not show, even after 2 calls. Pre summer check up on the system. Pest control no show. Tile refinish guy stands me up twice, I took off work an hour early each time.

    I'm in Houston. If any TBHe'rs are in the biz, send me a PM.

    All I can figure is that business is so good, they don't need mine. No calls "running late", nothing. And no, I've never slow paid or ask anything extra. etc.

    Call DH Air, My brother in law, see if he can't help you out. Don't have the company number. Hope that helps

        customer service nowadays has gone to pot, I see it everyday.

          Us a/c guys been slammed. That's no excuse for them to not show up or call.

            I always call if I'm going to be late. I just wish my customers would do the same when they are going to be late. I only get burned once then I tell them to call someone else. The same goes for waiting in a doctor's office.

                  I had the same issue today. They did not instal a flow shield in my unit and now it has leaked through the ceiling and the dry wall is soaked and plaster is falling from the ceiling. Luckily it is under warranty and are paying for everything. However they must not be too worried because they forgot our appointment yesterday and today never showed up in the 5 hour window they provided us.

                        As an A/C contractor I would be flipping out and would be out there personally making sure that a problem like that was taken care of . Word of mouth is the best advertisement for guys like us, and if you screw one person over you'll lose 10x that amount of business in potential customers.

                        Hope you can get somebody dependable in your area.
