    Carpel Tunnel

Anybody ever dealt with it??? I think I am staring to show major signs of it...and when I have an elk tag to fill in August and a mule deer tag in September

Anybody ever had any issue shooting a bow with CT or afterwards with treatment?

I am worried, with the pain I am having, I might end up having to return my tags

I had surgery on Friday. The doc says I will be more than ok by then. So far so good. Surgery was a breeze. Not much pain just have to let it heal and get stronger. I just did the right release hand. I plan on doing my left in the winter. Doc says I can go back to building cabinets in a couple weeks and that I will be pretty good in about 5 weeks.

Having the same issues- and have a big hunt planned for september. I've been icing my wrist & all the way back to elbow to try to cut down on the inflamation. Just trying to get thru september then i'll have it looked at. Hope yours gets better too.

I've got it. It was so bad in one hand that I couldn't even hold a glass of water. My Dr. gave me a steroid shot in that hand, it worked great! Within 3 days I had full use of that hand. That lasted a good 3 months. I'll have surgery after this coming hunting season.

I have had surgery on one hand. Don't have any problems now. Wear wrist braces at night. It will help you.

Good luck! The tests are kinda cool. It's weird watching your hands and arms move/jump with out you doing it. You will kinda feel like a pin cushion when your done. Lol no pain though.
I would ask about the injection. I had one in my heel a couple of months ago and it has been great!

I had it bad a few months ago. I bought a brace from CVS and stopped the actions that aggravated it. I am fine now, no more numbness or loss of grip strength. Dr thought i was going to have to have surgery. Luckily just wearing a brace at night and making adjustments to how I used certain tools worked great for me. Hope that helps.

I had it in both hands. Had an antelope hunt planned and was able to make the hunt in time. I shoot right handed. Had left hand done first as I did not want to pull bow string with an operated left hand. I was able to seal the deal. Had surgery right after hunting season on right hand. Hands never really had much pain as some experience but my hands would go totally numb especially when driving long spells and sleeping. Braces on my hands helped some but the surgery worked wonders. Never a moment of problems with the surgery or the recovery. Good luck.

I have had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands. It was really a piece of cake. Worst part for was the EMG test. Palms of hands were tender a couple of weeks but that's it.

I had it bad about ten years ago in both hands, so bad that the pain, numbness and burnig sensations went all the way to my shoulders with bad swelling in both hands. I used a brace for awhile, then the injections. I eventually had to have surgery to eliminate the problem.

If you let it go too long, you can have nerve damage. I have nerve damage in right hand and my fingers sometimes move and act on their own.
