.41 long colt Unsure of the exact year, but they were manufactured from 1877-1939. We tried to match the serial to stuff from colt's database, but someone re-chromed it so it's been a big pain. I'm still super excited about it.

They look a lot alike. Yours might be older.
In 1917 colt couldn't make the 1911 fast enough for the Arm so they redesigned their revolver to shoot the 45acp. It had to use a half moon clip because the Acp lacks the lip on the shell.
