    Generator ?

How big of a generator do you need to run camper lights and window unit?

    What size window unit?

      Voltage x Amps = Watts

      120 x 20 = 2400 Watts

I have a Honda EU3000 - it is barely enough to run my camper / AC. 5000 Watts would be much better.

I have a 5500 from Northern Tool. Runs my camper well. Has a Honda engine FYI.

My 3800 watt will run my a/c and a couple lights but for the coffee pot or microwave I have to turn the a/c off.

3000 for hand tools. 5000 for the camper. my buddy has a 3500. his ac is big enough for 12x12. with lights, and just a few small items. that's about all he gets. one other thing. full load run time. if you max out the volts, fill it up at 3:00 am

Should do fine. I have a 3500 watt from tractor supply and it will run the ac and the microwave at the same time on my 5th wheel. But it will not run the ac alone on my a friend's old camper.

I ran a old Coleman 4k, it powered a 8000 A/C and lights and if I remember correct when using the microwave I had to turn the A/C off. Then I went to John Deere quiet one like a Honda. I ripped 2 sheets of plywood in 4x4 pieces and made a little 3 sided shelter for the generator to sit in to help deflect the sound

3000 watts standard load and 4000 peak should do it. I run my rv with that size and it powers everything. my rv isn't huge so I don't need a ton of juice.

I bet your generator is fine. My 2000 watt Honda runs the window AC unit in my cabin at deer camp (and lights.) My AC is small though, and the cabin is only 8x14. My 5500 watt brigs and Stratton runs my travel trailer AC.

We ran 5 or 6 lights, a small TV/VCR combo and window unit AC with my 5000 watt at my old lease. We could run the microwave at the same time without issue.

When we used my cousins 4000 watt we had to turn off the TV or AC to run the microwave.

bowtech8, what motor is on that generator?

Looks like a Honda, if so I'd like to buy one.
