    Operation Duckling Rescue

My buddy & I just rescued 6 baby Mottled ducks that were in one of our neighborhood ponds and couldn't get out. There were 11 yesterday, but 5 drowned. We put a couple of boards down yesterday, hoping they would use them as ramps to get out, but momma duck didn't lead them out.

My buddy's wife has contacted a rehabilitation place that will take care of them and re-release them. I think I'm going to call TPWD just to make sure we shouldn't do something different.

Maybe they'll live long enough to circle my decoy spread in November.
