Eat light meals and watch calories and he can probably drop 10-20lbs in a month with light jogging.

          All meat.

Cut your breads and pastas... Just eat steaks, chicken, deer, buffalo... You get the point.

Whenever I want to shed a few lbs I skip the potatoe and get a lil larger steak works everytime plus it's easy to do... Unlike trying to eat salads and what not. And you still feel full.

Drink nothing but water and cut out breads, pasta, potatoes etc. And walk a couple miles a day. I lost 40 lbs that way, then hurt my back and wasn't feeling up to walking for a few months. Gained about 15 lbs back, but I started walking again last week. Hoping I'm back on track now.

^^^This. Adkins Diet. I lost 40 pounds, and you can eat all the beef, pork, Venison, chicken, meat you want. Cut out pasta, bread, and sugars (carbs, starches, sugars). And you dont have to be hungry....

Eat a balanced diet, you have to cut back in order to lose and step up the calories burned. Smaller meals with low calorie snacks in between. Its simple input-output. There are a few things to stay away from for a few weeks, but you will need those in order to continue to workout or you wont have the energy to get thru a workout.

Go to a whole foods diet. I tried the cutting of carbs but I had zero energy, didn't help with weight loss at all. I lost 50 over the last year eating nothing but fruits, vegetables, and nuts as sides and snacks and had whole wheat pasta, brown rice, and whole wheat bread for sandwiches along with meat with meals. The main thing is stay aways from anything processed, if you look at the ingredient label and it's a paragraph don't eat it, it takes alot to burn those empty calories and your body gets no nutrition from them, the least amount of ingredients in your meal the better.

Eating whole foods allows you literally eat till your beyond full while not adding any substantial calorie intake. A meal at night would be salad with light dressing, chicken (anyway you like it), vegetables (any way you like them) and a side of beans as an example. A hand full of nuts as a snack if your still hungry is all good. You could eat two plates of this meal and still not eat as much calories as one burger and fries. Keep track of your calories for a couple weeks to get an idea of what a normal meal will consist of, I would not get too far above 2000 a day, and don't lose no more than 2lbs per week, 1.5lbs a week is ideal. Lastly give yourself one meal a week as a cheat meal, don't go crazy but eat something high in fat and calories, it doesn't just help you keep focused on your diet, it also keeps your body guessing therefore burns alot more calories when you go back to eating clean food. Keeping the weight off is a lifestyle change, not a phase, but let me tell you it sure makes you feel better!!!

Have your buddy tell his wife that he uses food to replace sex, shouldn't be long before he's being treated for malnutrition. (Insert smiley face here)

This, with a emphasis on changing your lifestyle and not just make it temporary. I have been doing this for awhile and it is simply amazing how much food you can eat each day and not approach 2000 calories for a day. Im averaging about 1700-1800 calories per day and dont feel like I could eat anything else.

Try the Glycemic load diet, it is great. Get to eat food and drink beer.

If you reduce your glycemic load and eliminate insulin resistance you selectively remove belly fat. without dieting or huffing and puffing at a gym. -
