I have a case like that that my grandpa gave me. The side have come completely off. I've thought about sending it in for rehab but haven't. I'm interested to see if Bama can help you out.

What do you have in mind for scales? I would be interested in doing it , how good the blades turn out is depending on how bad of shape they are in now but I have done a couple of restorations just depends they are all different.

My blades are worn down, soft and don't hold an edge well. That said, I carried that knife for 20 years after my pop gave it to me and it is a sentimental favorite. IT had the yellow plasticated scales and I would want something similar. The factory may be my best bet. It's only 40 years old, maybe it's under waranty?

These blades are great not really worried about u doin anything to them they are good steel and sweat keeps them rusty any way and I found the knife about ten years ago and it has the hard yellow plastic handles and I used a dremel tool to clean it up did a horrible job of it all I want it new scales and the slicer brass on ends polished out where I scratched them up not sure what kind of scales would look good on it
