In that scenerio, hold 30 pin just a tad high

This imaginary pin is slightly lower than the 30. shoot with the 30 aiming slight bit higher placement from where you want to hit.
My 20 is the same shot as 10 and 15 with very little difference. 30 pin to 40 pin has some space between them, I would spit the difference.

It may not be right but I fell it easier to hold right at the bottom using a 40 yard pin

I have always shot with the gap at in between ranges. Typically my shooting is better that way than when I use a pin. I think I focus on the target better.

I shoot right in-between and have always been dead on.

I don't gap I just use short yd pin about spine high. Like if a hog was at 35 ild put my 30 on the pigs back....and the arrow drops right in

honestly everyone's spacing and trajectory is different so practice is the only thing that will give you the answer you want.. I have a faster setup that lets me use the 2 just a little high but my other setup has a 35 pin

I shoot single pin, top of pin at 20, dead on at 30, bottom of pin at 40. Might not work for all considering fps/draw length, but it hasnt failed me yet, Especially when shooting elevated.

I can see doing that if you're always shooting the same size hog; but that can't work on every hog at every (gap) distance.

OP: shoot the gap or know your bow and hold a little high on the pin below the distance. If you know your bow you know the drop (roughly) between, say, 30yds and 40yds. A little educated hold-over should keep you solidly in the vitals. If you're looking for pin-point accuracy, get a sight that you can build a tape for and dial up the exact distance, if you have time to use a rangefinder.

                    Do some practicing at 25, 35, & 45yds.

Whats the difference? Gap...hold it high..it all works...if you can shoot worth a darn!
