Educate Me on GoPro Cameras

Looking at purchasing one of these and upon a little Google search I am now thoroughly confused!

I am not sure where to start so offer up any thoughts on these things!

What are you wanting to use it for?

ok. yes, they are small. Have a ridiculous number of ways to mount. I have the Hero 3 black. Can operate via my smartphone. View the image, start stop. Waterproof case. HD. good image. Downside, can't view playback on smartphone or even the camera. Might be able to with the camera with an add on product. To be honest, haven't had mine long and haven't used it a lot, so I could be wrong with some of the extra features. Just speaking on what mine does out of the box.

I want to mount it on my sons helmet when he rides/races.

Also want to use it hunting.

My younger son will probably come up with all kinds of things to use it for. He mentioned strapping a camera to his dogs back to see where he goes during the day.

I like the remote features so I can control it when my son is riding. Don't want him to be distracted by turning the camera on and off.

it would definitely work for all that. They have so many ways to attach it to something and being so small it shouldn't even really be noticeable. Mine also came with a remote so you can control even if you didn't have your smartphone. Would be cool to watch your son's race on your iPad or Note while he is racing. Get the "helmet cam" view from the sidelines. Micro SD card so you can get 64gb of memory. I'm not sure the battery life though.

Hero 3 black is the top of the line. The hero 3 white and silver come wifi enabled but are really just Hero 2's. Cabelas is running a deal on the hero 3 black right now. It's $399/that's regular price, but you get $50 cabelas gift card.

Hero 3 black is what I would be purchasing. Highest camera quality.

So what if I wanted to have 2 GoPro cameras in use at the same time.

Would you be able to control them with remote controls or would they interfere with each other?
