Fairly new here still...what is the pea gravel reference?

Tried to do a search to figure it out but there are pages and pages? I assume it is a weight issue...did someone suggest 50lbs of pea gravel weighed more than 50lbs of corn?

There was a fella that had the idea of mixing pea gravel in with his corn to help save money.

And as you can tell it took off like wild fire.
