    Moreland Headed To DL

Mitch has a strained hammy. I am shocked that this team keeps winning with the amount of injuries that have plagued them. Bummer for Mitch to as he was having his best season. Looks like he is gone for 3 weeks.

    Kinsler
    Ogando
    Harrison - opening day starter

Not to mention the other arms that we are already missing in Colby, Nefti and Soria

I hate that for Mitch, he's been killing it. I figured it would be a DL trip last night when he walked off without argument.

Whatever happens, this year isn't any cakewalk for Los Rangers. The Walking Wounded. We'll continue to see what depth the organization has, and what magic the Old School Brother can muster. Go Team!

Ogando was back last night...and pitched a helluva game..

Hopefully Baker can bring some more of those HRs....to replace Mitch...

They are a good "Team" this year for sure!

So far several have stepped up!

When is Kinsler due back? He would do well at first and allow Profar to stay in the line up at 2nd. He is starting to find a nice groove. Just needed a chance.

Soon but I doubt they'll move him to first. I'd like to see it just to see if he can play first or not but they've said the whole season he wasn't moving. They've said Profar will go back to Round Rock when Ian comes back but with this injury, they may change their minds.

Their strength and conditioning coach needs a whack across the forehead.

We will see how the Ranger's deal with Ian when he gets back. I agree Profar needs to stay in the Bigs and get some more time around the leaders on the club. That said, Kins has held the R's hostage by his prima Donna attitude and trying to dictate where he will play. He has been adamant about not wanting to switch to 1st or the outfield.
Seems line JD and Nolan should have had a little more discussions with Ian last year about his role (and what was best for team) before signing him to a 7 year extension.
I say package Ian and maybe Olt and trade for another arm(preferably a south paw). I just hope they keep Profar around...remember how Robinson Cano came back to haunt them?

It'll be an interesting decision. I don't know how you send Profar back down, with how well he's doing. But i don't know how to resolve the "problem" either. Too many good players is a good problem to have.

I agree. I'm not sending him back down but I'm also not letting him ride the bench either. If they aren't going to play everyday then he needs to go down but I think a lot of fans will have some unrest for sending down a kid with his talent after he's done so good so far, especially if Kinsler comes back and doesn't out perform what Profar has been doing. We'll see what happens.

Early this year when Ian was hitting .315, hitting the ball hard to all fields, and walking some....I was ready to take my lumps with him and trade Profar for a big bat outfielder. Nowdays I just don't know. I would really hate to see Profar go now, the upside is just too high.....I'm just not sure Kinsler is tradeable unless you eat a bunch of his contract.

I hope thats the 1st thing JD thinks about when he wakes up, and the last thing when he goes to bed.....how to move Kinsler.

Philly has been talking about moving Cliff Lee, but they will not pick up any of his contract. I wonder if they'd take a prospect package and Kinsler's contract???? I don't even know who plays 2nd for them.

I did see where Mike Young is pullin down a nice .257 BA right now.

Yeah he fell hard from the .350+avg after 3 weeks. Utley is their 2B but I don't know for how long. I like the Kinsler/Lee trade and work out the monetary details. I still hope they find a way to bring Stanton in with a trade. I really like Profar at 2nd right now. I did read that he's more valuable in a trade though because his natural position is SS. Either way I hope they get value out of him whether it's in the everyday lineup or via trade.

Utley is the second baseman. He is free at end of year. I would be interested if they take kinsler and give back the money the rangers paid them to take young. Be careful. Smart will be on here defending young shortly.
