    Legacy Questions

I'm looking at a Legacy. I've been out of the compound market for some time. Someone tell me the low down on the Legacy. One question that I have is that this bow is a 28.5" draw. The last compound that I had was a 28". Is it possible to change the Legacy to 28"? Any advice would be appreciated!

You can adjust your draw length some by twisting your string a bit tighter or get another cam for it.

The Legacy was the Matthews top of the lin ebow back in 2002/2003 It was the first to come out with the Roller Gaurds, String Suppressors, Perimitor Weights and Parallel Limbs. It is a very smooth bow and has very little hand shock which with a good stabilizer will be none. It is not the fastest Bow rated at 308 FPS but few Mathews Bows are fast. I have have one and have always been very pleased with it. The only way to change the draw length is to change out the Cam. You can sometimes find the Cams on Ebay or Archery Talk website, otherwise a Cam may cost 70 bucks or so. You won't be sorry buying a Legacy if the price is right.

The Legacy is a great bow. I had one for 5 years and now have the SB XT. Some pro shops will switch out your cam for you for free or a small price as long as they get to keep the old one. Check around at different pro shops and I bet you can find one. Good luck and the legacy is a smooth shootin bow.

i have a legacy and cant seem to part with it. mine is the first years model and does not have the limb pockets.

if you buy the bow get with me. i believe my cam is a 28 (cam #sl3 cr)and i shoot a 28 1/2 so we could make a trade if you wanted.

right now i just have the cables and string tweaked to give me a little more

i also have a extra string(black and yellow) if yours is worn.

              Crittergitter,
Thanks for the offer. If I can seal the deal, we can work a trade for the cams.

It sounds like I would be happy with this bow. I don't need the latest and greatest out there. I just need a bow that is relatively forgiving and quiet.
