TPWD Draw Hunts 2013-2014

Well TPWD has managed to move pretty much 99% of these hunts to Monday through Friday in some shape or form. I have been putting in for Draw Hunts for 10 years and there used to be plenty of Friday-Sunday hunts. That has all been replaced by Tuesday-Thursday hunts.

Man, taking 1 day off is much nicer than having to take 3.

My excitement just went away very quickly.

I was always so excited for these hunts application process until they moved all the hunt dates to weekdays - Everyone can rest easy knowing that you won't be competing against my application as I won't put in for the hunts any more until they bring back weekend hunts.

Yeah it sucks that the state employees get the weekend off.

Question: Do any of the "Gun" hunts allow the use of archery equipment?

Depends on the location, most only allow the weapon you applied for.
If you want to use archery, don't apply for gun.

I haven't looked at it this year yet, but the last few years you could fill out your application online, but you had to print them out and mail them in.
