Have a popup camper on back of my pickup and rather than mounting an a/c to the roof that I have to crank up and down with the extra weight was wondering if these new portable floor model a/c units like Home Depot sells would work?

I would set a window unit on a stoll outside our pupup and made a custom duck from the air vent to the camper under the tent flap. Used stryofrom- duck tape and a dryer vent hose. With a fan inside the camper and the vent hose it worked great and it being outside it was not that load and could drip outside.

If you go with a roof mount, look at the Polar Cub. It was the only one that I could run off my Honda 2000. I ended up selling mine before I ever installed a A/C.
