Not sure if you bowfish, but it is a very good lake for that. We shot some really big buffalo off of it in April and there are always a lot of shot opportunities. Bill Spakes (TBH name Bowfishing) took us out. It is a blast.
Regular fishing, I have set trotlines with average success, catfished from bank minimal success. We have caught a few bass from the banks off of spinnerbaits. I am not much of a fisherman, while bowfishing we do see a lot of catfish and bass, so numbers are good. I would work the Colorado arm between 1431 and the dam. Good luck and have fun!

awesome fishing out there. crappy whites and blacks are all pretty good on the lake. If you have a boat wait till dark and fish the 100s of green lights on the lake. Have caught hundreds of whites and blacks throwing cranks at the lights. Watch out for some of the dock owners though some of them tend to get a little upset!

I've caught a lot of big catfish on LBJ, in June as well. Free lined, uncooked table shrimp, no weight, no bobber. Buy some at the grocery store before you leave. Evenings and nighttime is best.
Have lunch at the restaurant at Horseshoe Bay. Mac and Cheese is amazing.
Lots to do in Marble Falls. Longhorn Cavern is cool as well and not too far.
