Update on my dad

Some of you know that my dad isn't in the best of shape.. He's been fighting 5 different cancers over the past 17 years. He just had surgery again for what we thought was a simple hernia. Unfortunately, my dad cannot do anything simply.. When they got in there and started figuring out what was going on they found out that scar tissue from previous surgeries had wrapped around his intestine and caused 2 blockages. A simple 1 hr hernia fix turned into a 3 hr intestinal repair as is customary for my dad.. Mom said he did fine and he's in his room now. He'll be in there for about a week so they can make sure he's ok. Keep my dad in your prayers if ya don't mind, he's a tough son of a gun but he's runnin outta luck

Just got this text from mom.. I wish I could switch places with him

"Dad's very agitated and out of it. Anesthesia has him all messed up. Tube in his nose draining all blood, catheter has little urine he screams and moans. I'll probably spend the night tonight if he keeps this up"

I guess dad is settling down some, but he doesn't know who anybody is. When mom asks him what et name is he just stares at her.. I hope that wears off and it's not permanent. He's never done that before
