    Hour 60

Well I have been snuff free now for 60 hours. I have had cravings but it hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be. I have been dipping for 20 years and just decided to put it down. Walked into work this morning to see on our espn feed that Jim Kelly is fighting Jaw Cancer. Thought out loud that was a sign that I am doing the right thing here. I am using the smokey mountain herbal snuff and that is helping a bit, but will put that down by end of the week so I can be 100% snuff free. The real test will be heading down to the lease this weekend without snuff.

Keep the smokey mountain or mint snuff around for those hard times. Be strong and know it does get easier but the habitual cravings last a looooonnnngggggg time. It took many years but I am to the point that the smell of it makes me ill, 20 years ago I NEVER thought I would be there!

been over 13 years tobacco free for me, can a day addiction for 25 years.

you have already made the hardest choice, that was to quit.

the rest is managing that decision. the cravings will stop!!!!

I did it, you can do it.

I have been snuff free for a month now. It does get easier but the cravings are still there. I used hard candies or gum to get through them.

Congrats to you sir. Just make sure that when you go to the lease, that you A) don't have any snuff around you. And/or B) don't drink enough to not care anymore.

i tried and failed last week. made it 3 days. good luck. will be trying again soon.

the patches were working great but i found out i should not have started with the first step.

made me feel like my arm was going to fall off and i might puke. after three days i tore it off and was dipping the next day.

my willpower is not that great.

The most important part is that you REALLY have to want to, and not just a lil bit.

Ask the Lord to give you strength when yours runs out. I depended on Him 14years ago to quit smoking. Prayer sent.

The wife has already said that if I make it to the 6 month mark that the $3500I would normally spend on snuff I could spend on hunting. So there is incentive out there for this to work. I am using the herbal snuff at the moment to help me through the rough spots, but they havent been as bad as I thought they would be. I know I have been praying hard at times for strength to get through this!
