I started working when I was 11. My parents didn't have to give me much, and I didn't have to ask for much.

I really like making money, just don't like having to grow up. I guess people are funny about wanting you to be all knowledgable and stuff before they give you the big bucks for your work product.

Oh, the responsibility of it all.......

Gotta love growing up and having to work! The biggest scam in america. getting a job and having to be responsible!
Forty a week for bars? That would have me set until about 8:00 pm on Monday (back in the day).

I went to Austin College in Sherman and when a bunch of us were broke one summer we basically lived at the "lake campus" on Texoma and ran trotlines as far as we could wade out. Aaah, I hear Bruce Springsteen (actually it was Hank and David Alan Coe) singing in the background. . . .Glory Days.

I remember those pearl stubby necks.....my uncle next door was a machinist for Pearl Brewery in SA and always had a garage full of Pearl. My cousin (my uncles son) would always raid the garage for a night out on the town. My favorite was dime night or bring your own mug and fill it up for a quarter. My mug of choice was the super big gulp from 7-11. You could get this most bang for your quarter in that one...............Memories!!!!!!!!

God Bless College Station and Stephenville Texas!

You could easily get all you needed on 10 bucks in College Station.

If you know the bartenders things get alot cheaper as well!

Bostocks in stephenville did 25cent pitchers when I was there. There was a bar in Bryan that did penny pitchers for about 3 months. I think it was called Lonestar Saloon???

Then of course I probably spent 40 bucks on liquor stores and buying girls drinks as well. But I didnt care money didnt matter because we didnt have any!
