              My response was in fun.
You can always cover a tattoo. And I don't believe in luck

Bad idea. Finger tattoos are not a good idea because the skin is different than, say, your arm or leg or back. The only finger tattoos that work ok are very open and very simple designs like a single letter or a star. They can be made to look great when they're done but the problem is what they will look like in 10+ years. Besides, the skin on the palm side of your finger REALLY doesn't take ink well and can not be made to look good, under most circumstances.

Names are a SERIOUS jinx. I spent 18 years as a tattooer and I covered up more names than anything. There's no problem with getting tattoos for another person but make it something besides an actual name- get an image that represents the other person or something that you love about them. Just NO NAMES.

I'm sure LeeBTattoo will be along in a bit to confirm what I'm saying. I definitely understand the sentiment but, from a practical aspect, ring tattoos are just not a good idea.

My suggestion: wear your wedding ring on a chain around your neck when you're at work.

I'll go with what you just said. My line of work is no steel belt buckles, no neck chains, no rings , no earrings, no watches, etc....... That's why we are talking funded tattoos
