A Senko, Brushhog or Baby Brushhog in watermelon/red flake is my go to bait in any situation.

If there is grass I love to chunk a buzzbait. If not, I like a Wave senko worm in pumpkin seed or watermelon. My real favorite is wade fishing with a topwater for trout and reds.

If I could only use one lure it would be a meps spinner. They don't catch the BIG bass but they will catch everything else.

Thanks for the tips guys. On the senkos - you hooking through the middle with little nails in each end or typical weed less?

I'll always lead with a Zoom trick, wacky in watermelon or pumpkin seed/brown. If i need a little depth stick a small nail in the head.

I fell like a senko is the best plastic wormu can buy. There is no wrong way to fish it. Weightless just let it sink a give it a little movement it don't take much and it looks like its about to die. U can also fish it just like u would a fluke making it dart from side to side fast and let it sink some. Wakey worm I prob my fav skip it up under a dock let it fall about like the weightless. I have also caught bass on a texas rigged senko, Carolina, shakey head, even drop shot the small ones. Any color will work great as well just match with ur water color

Literally 1 cast in and the lightning started. Back at the house. Bummer.

Off to the movies with the kids.

I rig them wacky style on a weighted weedless hook. Just stick the hook through the worm about midway down the worm- run the hook right through the worm and close the weed guard. The worm just hangs from the hook. Cast and let it settle slowly. Raise the rod tip from 3 o'clock to 11 o'clock and then drop the rod back down, tacking up a little slack on the drop and watch for a bite! Most of my bites come on the drop.
