    Help with Xbow purchase

I had shoulder surgery a month ago so my regular bow season was over before it started. I could probably gut thru it, but I'd rather wait the 6-9 months the drs told me to before I even think about tryin to draw one back again. Don't want to miss archery all together so here I am..
I am now looking for a Xbow. Not top of the line, not the dirt on the bottom, just a reliable mid range bow I can shoot accurately w/o it blowin up on me. Lol. Tryin to keep this in a reasonable budget, but idk what reasonable is for an Xbow. Hopefully its not as bad as saw buyin a new Bowtech insanity or anything. Whatcha got for advise for me ere GS?

That was about what I was hopin would be mid range. +-$300 is what I was hopin I could get away with. Once my dad gets over this cancer I should have my shoulder back and be able to shoot normal again. I want to get dad a Xbow so we can go back to the good ole days

Yea, but that thing was crazy loud.. I know they're not as quiet as a compound but I've heard some that were hella quieter than his

the ten point xbow is pretty nice, but their bout 650 or so, the only thing about xbows is their high maintence.

How much did he pay for that xcalibur anyway? There's gotta be a way to dampen that thing somehow

I'd personally have to just sit bow season out. I had an xbow and sold it on here a year or two ago. No comparison to what I'm used to. Not to mention they cost as much as a decent priced rifle but won't last a lifetime like one.

I've thought about that.. I know there wouldn't be any comparison, but I still wanna try it. Like I said, my dad can't pull a bow back after all the surgeries and chemo and stuff so if I find one that I like and trust I want to give it to him so when I can start shooting a compound again we can hunt together again. It's been almost 12 was since I've got to sit in a blind with my pops
