What is my 7.3 Powerstroke Excursion Worth?

I have a 2002 Ford Excursion with 355,000 mile on it. The truck has a 7.3 powerstroke in it, leather, 3rd row seating, Limited package. 2wd drive. The Kelly blue book says it worth over $10,000 in fair condition which is what I would rate the truck. It has some miles on it and is not perfect but in pretty good shape. I tried to sell it for $9,000 and was not getting any interest. What do yall think I should price this truck for? I have never sold a car always gone the trade in route so any input would be appreciated.

I personally would never buy a truck 355,000 miles on it. Even if its all highway, light miles that everyone talks about. The 7.3 is a heck of a motor. But I don't seen anyone paying over 5k for it

Ditto this. To me, 355,000 is a whole nother world than 155,000 or even 255,000 miles. I'd want it cheap enough that if I only drove it a year and then had to push it into a gravel pit and walk away, I'd have gotten a good deal.

The miles is not the problem. It being two wheel drive is the issue.

Agree with this also. So many miles and only 2wd

You can get a 7.3 motor for about 5g's that I've seen from my small amount of looking. I bought my 250 with 240,000 on it for 9g's if that helps on an asking price. It might be better to do an overhaul and get the motor all new and keep it.

I agree with the $5k suggestion and it still might take a while to sell. Bluebook might say that a vehicle is worth X amount of money, but your truck isn't sold until a buyer hands you cash, and very few people are interested in a 2wd truck with that number of miles. I'm sure it's a beast of a truck that many people would be glad to own, but paying book value for a well used truck is risky business. I'm also of the opinion that bluebook does not consider mileage nearly as much as the average used car shopper. Bluebook says that my 93 7.3 2wd with 115k is worth something like $2500, whereas the same truck with 500k is worth ~$2200.

Good luck selling your truck! The fact that it's still running strong at 350k is a testament to the motor and the truck.

Thanks Guys, I was thinking the miles might be scaring people. I used this as my outside sales vehicle and had to carry a lot of samples.
