    Bermuda grass question

I had my house built in '08 on a hill side. I had over 100 loads of dirt brought in to build up the pad and yard area. Over the years the dirt has settled in some small areas, creating low spots in my yard area. Question is, should I put sand in the low spots to build up fill in the spots? I heard that is the best way. If so, what mesh sand should I buy? I've tried red sandy loam and that just seems to pack up with little grass growth. What do the experts think?

I use leftover brick sand but it is expensive. The Bermuda will grow right thru it. If you don't have very much to do, you can get playground sand at lowes or hd. I like it because there is no weed seed.

We sand 15-20 lawns per year in Lubbock, and we just go to the local nursery and pick up a couple of yards at a time, then fill in the holes. I don't get the fine grade sand.

Just regular play sand is what I use.

I use bank sand and it works well. Not sure if it comes from a river bank or other bank, but it's not super fine by any means.
