When I emailed my fed reps they all told me that it was a state operation, and that although they had opinions, it was not something they had a hand in.

I agree that is what they are saying, but the TTC will connect to the other state project highways, and when all connected will make a NAFTA superhighway.
It is like no one is responsible for it being built. Is it being built with state or fed money?

Is this project funded by tax dollars? I need to be sure for my comment.

Pretty Boy Perry wants to turn most new highways into Toll roads. He is doing the same thing with H 121 up here over the very strong objections of the people. TXDOT is a joke.

Here is my comment to TTC:

I would like to take this opportunity to voice my disapproval of the current plans for the TTC project. From attending a couple of the recent meetings on the project, I would have to say that I am in the majority. It is the responsibility of the government, whether elected or appointed by those elected, to operate in the best interest of the governed. I fully support the expansion of public infrastructure, such as the widening of highways, and the related taking of land, but only when necessary as a benefit to the public and if the land owners are justly compensated. Based on a review of the preliminary plans and maps, this project will include unjustified taking of private lands in excess of what is necessary for the expansion of the targeted roadways. This project is not in the best interest of the citizens of Texas and, if completed as proposed, will be a violation of the constitutional property rights of the citizens in its path.

This issue will die with a new governor, or new president. who remembers the super collider(sp) project funded by tax dollars, only to be abandoned with the new cabinet. This project and the US/Mexico wall will fall by the wayside so the gubment can fund really important stuff like inner city development.....
