    Another gun question

I am going to be the market for my first rifle very soon. I have shot a T/C, and am pretty sure that is the brand I am going with. Recently there was a thread on a gun dealer in Lewisville that was highly praised. I live in Corinth and would like to deal with a smaller type dealer rather than the big stores. If any body knows someplace or the place in Lewisville, that would make me very happy .
By the way I was thinking of 7mm-08, what do ya'll think of that caliber? I will only be hunting N. America.
    Thanks,
    Drew

I have not bought from them but know several guys who have.

Sporting Arms Company - America's largest online firearms and accessories mall.

They have been around for a long time.

7mm offers a limited amount of bullet choices for reloading and making it your own. For just a little bit bigger, you can get the .30 bullet, a wide variety of weight choices and load all day long for cheaper in a .308. Can't go wrong with T/C though

        T-c

I had a T-C in 7mm-08. That was the best shooting gun I ever owned. Sold it so I could buy the Pro-Hunter. It will be 7mm-08 also. Good knock down low recoil (O.K. I'm a wuss) The best thing about T-C is you can buy another rifle for $300 to $500 bucks.

Sporting arms is a good company. The folks work out of their home in Lewisville. I've used them as my FFL for guns I've purchased off of gunbroker and hae never had any issues with them. You might see what's on gun broker and compare with what they can get thru them.

As far as the 7 mm -08, it is a great round but I agree that you may have some limited ammunition selections. That is why I went with a 30-06 ruger #1 for my single shot rifle. I tried the TC, but it felt too small (almost like a kids gun) for me.

The 7mm-o8 is a really good deer and hog round. It doesn't kick all that bad either and has some really good down range balistics.

Also with A TC, if you want another caliber, then all you will have to do is get another barrel.

look at www.budsgunshop.com for the best price on TCs or Encores

I just bought a Pro Hunter Encore in 7mm-08 for less than any other place I could find it or order it. Lewisville Pawn Shop works with them as a FFL shipping receiver for $10.

couldn't believe it either. they were the closest to me on bud's list and with bud's having their FFL already on file, all I had to do was call LPS and give them my name and gun desciption....... done deal. Not to mention LPS was not very busy and I got in and out of there with a CHL is less than 15 minutes.
