    I got lucky

I was doing an in depth search for trophy monster bucks and came across these, two complete sets of sheds. On public land in secret trophy monster buck country. lol This is the first time to find two complete sets within about a 30 yard circle.

The big boy has tremendous mass, considering that all he had to eat was American beautyberry, briars, youpon, ect. He has a nice fork on his G2.

The younger buck has, besides very little G1's, great genetics and could easily grow into a twelve pointer, if he can make it another couple of years. I hope the brow tines develop a little. I doubt they get far, but hopefully 3-4 inches.

Needless to say I am pumped up for next season to get here already!

Looks like you need to keep your honey hole a secret! Good luck and those are some sweet sheds.

Thanks. I will be getting the cameras out as soon as I know their antlers are close to be fully developed. I am looking forward to seeing what they grow this year. The area has had a good amount of rain this spring and all the bucks should be grow as good a set of antlers as they possibly can.

You sir, are in a honey hole for sure. However, they may not be in that particular area until late in the season. That would certainly be my late season spot for sure.

I would not be telling anyone the location of honey hole either

                    Thanks guys,

I have to swear my buddies to secrecy, or they will lose my scouting services!

I noticed you need to update your profile with where you hunt.

Wow....thats a brute. The biggest buck that i can actually say i put my hands on his rack was from the Sam Houston National forest. It was a main frame 12 pointer that had all kinds of kickers too. It took 3 of us to load it in the back of this old timers truck. I'm guessing it weighted in access of 250 lbs. This was around the year of 1993 and the kicker was he shot it with an ole 30 carbine.

Elfeyes, you have a good memory! This buck has a little extra mass, especially on the tines where it doesn't contribute to the score.

One side has a g2 in the 11 1/4 range, but the other side's g2 is only 7 1/2. Dang! I am under the assumption both sheds are from the same buck, but up the road in a pine farm I saw where a bachelor group went across, with at least two real bucks. I assume he was from the group, but the traveling angle was a little illogical from where I found the sheds, but how many big bucks could there be in a 1/2 mile circle on public land?

Its possible for the two big sheds are from two different bucks, but highly doubtful. I guess he just has "Character".
