    I'm with Bill on the Texas Instruments thing.

    I work for TI and our DLP chip is supposed to be the best.

      i would stay away from the plasma...

      check out sams as well for the vizio...

        i have an SXRD with 3 DLP processors in it and the picture is awesome. TI did a good job on them

          Glad you're loving it, Throwin' Darts. Texas Instruments is leading with their 1,000,000 mirror chips. It's the best that's out there right now in DLP.

          I saw the thread on the table saws, didn't see the video, but I saw a news clip where TI had a chip that could stop a table saw. They were ripping thru a board that had a hot dog on top of it and when the saw sensed it it stopped. Leading edge from the most recoginized Texas companyl. Good stuff.

            I'm in the "supply chain" into semiconductor designers, and a few years ago was working with a major semi company trying to get the design-win back from TI on the DLP chip. It's an amazing piece of technology with the micro-mechanical mirrors. They still have it manufactured in some 3-d world country and not the USA, but so does just about everybody else, I can't fault them on the business decision.
