Go to rain bird web page. They have a form u can fill out and send in and they will tell u everything u need to know. You make a drawing of your yard, and answer questions like... How much water pressure, how long it takes to fill a 5 gal bucket, etc. They will tell u exactly what heads and where. Sometimes they have the forms at Lowe's and home depot by the rain bird stuff

I'm an irrigator as well and we do hunter brand. Im a big fan of jar top valves for easy cleaning. We do use rain bird spray nozzles in our spray bodies. Whatever you do I would say go with quality components and you'll be happy. Rain bird and hunter are great brands.

Hunter makes a great product for sure. The price is the only reason I don't use their products as much.

                  Their rotary nozzles are amazing.

Just don't use orbit or cheap products. You get what you pay for.

Completely agree. We didn't know about the hunter points program and after a couple of years they called and ask us to redeem our points. We didn't it would be much. We ended up with a general 5500 generator and a 3000psi power washer.

Op only thing is if you tackle it on your on make sure to check with your water purveyor and see what backflow device they want. Everyone is different. We have some that prefer pvb and others that prefer double checks.
