    Yard Experts insight needed!

We bought a place in the country and I am trying to make a nice yard for the dogs and us.

What is the best way to get rid of weeds, grass burrs, spear grass and other unwanted weeds?

I have used some spray on weed killer that you attach to you garden hose and it killed some broadleaf weeds.

I have two trees in the yard and an area about 20'x20' of good established Bermuda grass.

I would like to kill weeds on about 1 acre of land.

you may want to check into BAYER celcius. You will have to buy it online as you may have to have an applicators license. I am not a pro but I did stay at HOLIDAY INN once maybe twice.

Second the celsius. It is a great chemical. I am pretty sure it is not restricted but we have a license so I'm not real sure. Fertilize will help you as well.

I know a guy who has an agronomy degree that lives not far from you. I heard he's a bad sob as well

Get some broadleaf weed killer and something like a 15-5-15 fert with a strong micro nutrient package as well. Mowing your Bermuda tight will cause it to grow laterally and thicken up as well.

Following...I've tried the "over the counter" weed killers that claim to kill 100's of types of weeds....but I guess I have 1000's of types!? If you can get some MSMA(?) I've heard that will kill everything, and only "shock" your grass. I'm considering that option, just hesitant because I've put a lot of effort in this year. Best of luck to both of us!

                    Same guy!!

MSMA is dang good stuff if you can get your hands on it. I usually mix herbicides a little hotter than the recommended rate just to be sure and it will stunt your Bermuda a hair. Once you get your Bermuda thick enough it will choke out most of your common yard weeds. It is a long drawn out process if you're doing it with chemicals and mowing instead of starting over completely with sod.
