Less then 10% make regular post. What's up with that? Could it be that a very small percentage of members are out of touch with the majority of Texas bowhunters? This site use to be much different. Less then 2000 signed up members. Over 100,000 bowhunters in Texas. It's starting to feel as if a small percentage of members have hijacked this site and turned it into a site that only allows their views posted and discussed.

A post about an unethical hunting practice is banned but you can post about your grandmothers gall bladder operation. What happen to the old TBH that was so great two years ago?

Dang Texbow. I've always enjoyed your posts, videos, and hunting stories. But lately you are taking this site way too seriously. This is a free website. The owner of the domain name and his moderators have seen it all and heard it all when it comes to inflammatory posts. If you like that type of stuff you need to go to archerytalk.com or bowsite.com or ihaveanegohearmeroar.com.

The Jimmy Houston thing and high fence thing have been beat to death on here. Certain posters on here love to start an uproar just to feel like they are important. When the high fence threads stay civil, they last a long time. When people make inflammatory remarks just for the sake of doing so, the moderators stamp them out to keep a civil "family" type environment. A lot of new people and people that don't get what TBH is about keep trying to conform this site into other websites that they have been on. It ain't happenin'. Other archery/hunting related boards give you a chance to vent, boast, complain, or ask questions. This one gives you a chance to make good friends, get support on a variety of issues (hunting and non hunting related), find leases, get a package delivered for free around the state, have get togethers with like-minded people, and sell some of your old stuff to somebody that needs it.

High fence discussions are like religion and politics. The discussions usually end in sarcasm, name-calling, or whatever. I for one don't like to come on here and read all that crap. If I need a dose of chest-beating, name calling, crap talking, I can just go to work and arrest somebody.

There's no rule or law that says a bowhunter must join a hunting website when they buy their license. I could see making that statement about LSBA or NRA or something like that. The number of bowhunters in the state and the number of people on tbh.com have nothing to do with each other.

Chew, the guy that posted the topic is new. I agree that inflammatory post go now where positive but I don't think hunting related topics should be deleted just because they ruffle a few feathers. It's ok to have passion about issues. It's ok to disagree, it's not ok in my opinion to make personal jabs and comments.
