      I always just made a photo copy of my middle finger and signed it...seemed to always do the trick

      Short and sweet like above...all that is needed.

        So this is a DUMB question, but i have never written this type letter before. My resignation date would be the date that i hand the letter in, not the date i plan on leaving?? So i plan on handing it in tomorrow, so the date on my letter would be 05/17/2013 not the last day of 05/31/13. Just want to make sure i put the right one on there. this might be pretty obvious to some.

              I always put the date I was finalized...so the 31rst for you. you can always put a date on the top of the letter in right corner saying what date you turned it in on. Or even date it when you sign it?

                  Put the date you hand the letter in on and the date you wish to be your last day on the letter.
