Was back at the spot again this morning around 8:30 and by 9:45 i was heading home with these 4 reds. The reds were everywhere tailing and chasing bait with the birds working the bait like crazy! The tide was out and i had a hard time catching some mullet but on my 10th. throw i hit pay dirt with 8 4-5" mullet and thats all it took. Actually took only 4.
After i caught my first red within a few mins. i knew i was gonna be done quickly. So i called my buddy to hurry up and get down to the spot so he could catch his 3. Well he only had about 30 mins to spare once he got here and we ended up with one more before we had to head out. 3 between 22-24" and one @ 26". On my way home my friend Kelly called and said that he was about to head to the reefs behind Portland and wanted me to go. So i threw some ice on the 4 reds and off we went. We only had 2 hours to fish because he had b day party to go to so we drifted a few different reef and ended up with 2 fat 19" trout and we released a couple small 18-19" reds. These were caught using shrimp tails and spoons. See smart i can catch em NOT using DBOB
!!!! IT WAS A GORGEOUS DAY ON THE WATER TODAY!
