Snake!

Need more people relocating instead of killing ever snake they see. When I moved to my place 11 years ago we saw several rat snakes ever spring. Since neighbors have surrounded me and kill every snake they see, I might see 1 or 2 a year... now they wonder why they have so many mice during the cold months. Duh...

Walked by my wood pile yesterday and there on top in the sun was a beautiful checkered garter snake, catching rays. Didn't have phone or cam tho-. I understand about the folks wanting to stomp a hole in it. I have a cousin who is terrified of snakes, and one day, I walked up to him with a king snake inside my shirt. He nearly crapped when it stuck its head out under my chin--

If he had been a little guy I might have kept it for my boy but he was rather large and wasnt as docile as most. He didnt like me interrupting his evening but he had no problem once I got him home and released him into the woods.
